I'm hoping someone will be able to help me identify this motorcycle,

frame is pretty well complete but needs running gear and wheels etc. Any

help with finding some of these items and identification would be greatly

appreciated.  Thanks in advance. Frame numbers as follows:  LF 320 DK

What you have there is a 1926 OC600 - very similar to mine.

A couple of photos of Ian's OC600. More here - https://www.douglasmotorcycles.net/index.php?topic=168.0

Hi 'britmc',
What Ian hasn't drawn your attention to is photographs of his OC600 posted in this forum - you may  already have viewed them but I link them here for particular reference for yourself and for others who may be interested too. I believe Ian's ID of your bike is correct - perhaps Doug can comment on the significance of the 'DK' suffix to the frame number?

btw, I spent a couple of days in your city of Vancouver last year - visited Vancouver Island - a fabulous place!

OOPS :!:  It appears Dave beat me by 4 minutes to the cross referencing to Ian's photos - anyway I leave my post with the link notwithstanding because of the question I raise.

Many thanks to all, especially to Ian who has been a great help, I believe his ID is 100%, and emailed the following info which others may be able to use:  "Hi Al, the frame you have is an OC600 very close to mine.  The motor you need is the same - the correct serial number should start with an ED but worst case you could use from another similar bike. Gearbox should be TG."

Anybody have an OC600 engine and trans for sale? also wheels?

Thanks again to all.

Al

Al, Suggest you make a list of the parts you require and place in a posting in the 'Douglas Motorcycles and Parts Wanted' category - might attract some vendors there. Good luck and keep us posted on progress!
