Hi Phil,
I presume you have tried the VMCC brake block scheme?

Hi Phil
The VMCC do not have the brake block specifically for the earlier model 2 3/4hp but they do have a "Slab" which you will have to shape to fit.
The web page you require is:-
http://www.vmcc.net/vmccshop/scripts/brakes.asp?cat=14

There is a check out tab at the bottom of the page so I'm guessing that you don't have to be a member to buy.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, I had hoped not to have to do any 'whittling', but when I get the engine back together with its new pistons and valves I will definitely need it to stop a little bit better :)

Any recommendations on high-friction boot-sole materials anyone
