Chain pitch size

Can someone please enlighten me as to the correct size chain for a 2 3/4 primary chain? I know that it is 1/2", but what width and roller size is it?

According to the spares list there are two types of sprocket - 5/8" by 1/4" and 1/2" by 3/16" - not sure if that is chain or sprocket size !!
