CW clutch issues
« on: 15 Nov 2020 at 22:36 »
My “won’t free up” clutch issue seems to be an incorrect spring plate....Dimension “A” is about 8.5 mm, whereas the correct plate dimension “A” for the clutch parts that came with the bike would seem to be much shorter ie about 2 mm. What would my plate be from and I would prefer not to get this machined down as an original part off “ something Duggie” and do a swop instead...?

Alan,

I think you may have the later dogged type sprocket attached to the earlier clutch plate (the one without the friction material attached as opposed to the later one which does)? The dogged sprocket has been attached "back to front" as the dogs have nothing to engage with on the earlier plate.

Cheers
