What is it ?

The attached pedal was found in a box of Duggie bits that I purchased many years ago....Is it from a very early Douglas, from some other motorbike or simply from a bicycle ? Its style and construction would seem to indicate that whatever it is, it is off something old..
Anybody any ideas ??

Hi Alan,

Yes it could be motorcycle, provided the actual pedal part is at least 4" long. Of course much the same thing was used on the butcher's delivery bicycle of the day. Few "ordinary" bicycle pedals are this big.

One thing I've learned about old pedals: they're only useful in pairs!
