Grease fitting question
« on: 11 Feb 2013 at 20:48 »
My Mk-5 has what look like small grease nipples throughout the chassis none of which will fit my modern grease gun....do owners change these fittings for more modern type or is there a special gun or fitting to match these old grease nipples...don't know if it matters to originality but if need be I would be interested in finding the proper gun that must have been included with the bike originally...any thoughts would be appreciated....Jeff

The brass Tecalemit grease guns (often seen on eBay) do the job. I must confess to using replacement modern grease nipples on occasion. I shall just go and beat myself with birch twigs.
