Hi Post war fuel cap what are they off ? where can I get 1 they must fit other bikes cars

As I know, the fuel tank cap on the t35 models fit only this models.
I´m also looking for one.

I have a cap (Its not for sale) but with a magnifying glass I can make out
WESTWOOD  there is a firm still making garden tractor spares but there are references to WESTWOOD vintage caps on google
the only other clue is a partial (or full!)  number I think is  291941
it has two arms inside to mach the tank pegs and a chain on a bracket
if you find a source PM me as mine is a little rusty inside :-)

Have a look at the eBay link below. According to the seller the fuel cap is 2 1/2 inches OD. The internal diameter is 2 7/16 inches. The measurement across the locking plate is 1 7/8 inches. That seems to be very close to what we need for post war bikes. The locking plate may need a bit of tweeking but with any luck it could fit. Worth a try for those who are desperate for a fuel cap.
OK I know its off a Harley but I have washed my mouth out.

Does anyone know if the oil tank cap need to be vented, or would a non-vented cap work fine?

This cap was made by Westwood Rim and Patents Ltd., from 1928. They were still making a range of caps for tanks, radiators etc in the late 1950s.

Hi Aero

The chap selling these does both vented and non vented in the same style and same price. As far as I know the oil cap on the Aero should be vented unless someone knows different. The two Aeros we have both have vented caps.
