« on: 03 Nov 2014 at 19:28 »
Anyone know where I can get big end bearings for a 1926 ew350?
Or anything I can use as a replacement.
Thanks
Pete

heres mine underway
my rods had the races quite loose...I made up an expanding lap to get the rods round again...the pins were less than half a thou out of round....hope that's ok...then needed to make oversize races.. some toole steel..rough to size..then harden temper and grind to .001 bigger then rods.. and .002 smaller than needed on inside..pressin and lap to size...all worked out well...except on assembly...my one pin was .020 less than 5/16... soooooooooo...had to grind that much and a bit off the rollers and race...
but I have a new bottom nd

The big end eye in the rod and the big end crank journal are both pressed on/in. Both can be replaced and ground to whatever roller size you want. Mine is now metric and runs fine.

Thanks for the input guys. I have sorted the big ends and she's running sweet after a 74 year rest.
