Hello Douggirl1956
I'm not wanting to buy the Dragonfly- sorry- but I would be very interested in knowing if the bike has a dealers transfer or badge anywhere on it and a photo if possible. This machine looks to be wearing it's original paint so if it had one, and this bike should have had, because all dealers put them on.
The reason I am interested is that it has a Lancashire registration from about 1956/7. I served my apprenticeship at that time at Schofields of Colne and I know we sold one or two Dragonfly's.
They were generally fixed or applied to the front of the front mudguard, or the rear of the rear mudguard, just above the numberplate. Some were made of aluminium and pop riveted on but ours were transfers.
This bike looks so original that I hope whoever buys it just does enough to get it going and gives it the oily rag treatment. There won't be another one like that.
Best regards
