Wheel rebuild
« on: 07 Apr 2015 at 00:17 »
I need my CW wheels re-spoked and any leads as  to any good person who is happy to do vintage wheels in the general Sydney area or a couple of hours from Sydney who could undertake this.?
I previously used Superior Spokes at Greenacre ( George Kay) some years ago but can't find....Ta Alan..

Hi Allan,
Read where you are looking for someone to respoke your wheels.
I have had a rear wheel done a couple of months ago and the front one,for my 1924 TS being done right now,by a fellow in Wagga Wagga.
The service was quick and the price,I thought reasonable.
You can contact me direct on my e-mail address

Hi Alan,
How about giving it a go yourself? You can now buy spokes to your exact length on ebay, and CW wheels wouldn't present any serious problem for a first wheel build. You don't need many tools - just a spoke key, a couple of bits of wood, and a piece of chalk.
I've always done my own wheels, and many for friends, and I enjoy it very much. The thought of paying someone else to do it fills me with horror! It would spoil my fun.
Cheers
Leon
