I'm new the ranks of Douglas Owners and my first is a 51' Mark 5 that I bought from a friend in Melbourne Australia....I have ridden bikes since the late 60's and this bike is a real treat! Very smooth, pulls well and is really noticeably smooth....especially when compared to my BSA B31 which is like a tank by comparison...very happy, but as I live in northwest Washington state here in the USA I am afraid there aren't many people out there who have even heard of Douglas.....can't wait to take it to a local bike event and listen to people say "Wow, what a nice little beemer" and I'll just respond "Where"? ha
