A Mystery Douglas Powered Special
« on: 12 Oct 2010 at 08:05 »
Hello All, The Secretary of a Brisbane car club has passed on to me the following info from their newsletter. Which says a mystery special sighted at Murwillumbah earlier this year. Looks like it is made to go and stop. I like them would like to be enlightened, any comments welcome.

regards Alan

Extremely cute! They even used the Dougie gear change gate. One wonders a) what the radiator did, and b) what kind of performance it would have had it an OHV Dougie engine! Do not see any evidence of forced air cooling.

Well??????? another friend of mine at a recent swap meet gave me another 3 pics of the mystery car that apparently turned up at some machinery day. I tried to get some more info but I was told he knows a friend who knows a friend who knows the owner. He also informed me some of the items seem to be just for show particularly the large brakes. Maybe someone can identify the chassis that seems to have been utilized from some early  sports car.

regards Alan
