A metal spinner in Sydney Aus has observed vintage m/c parts(old and replica)  selling like hot cakes as Swop Meets and asked whether there would be a demand for rims...my initial thoughts were that there could be for
the larger volume Duggies such as 2 3/4's, EW's ( beaded edge and wired)...any others ???
Spoke hole punching would be down to the purchaser. As with any spinning, the initial cost is in making up the master but he has looked at a couple of Duggie rims and said these appear very simple....If there is any demand, I can provide further details for direct contact...

Hi Alan
It is no problem getting rims from various sources already. Your contact would need to be able to make the rims for a very reasonable price to beat the cost of the rims that come in from Asia. Our club stocks BE rims for 26 x 2 1/2 and we are intending to roll some for Westwood pattern soon.

i have looked well into this subject. I am a good metal spinner but rims need to be rolled in my opinion.

Graeme, what shape is the westwood pattern? Is it a wellbased shape BE rim? I am curently looking at trying to roll a pair for a 1911 rudge. I have purchased some of the Asian rims to test with. still need to machine some rollers for the job.

regards
Dave
