MRD
I have recently completed restoration of a Mk3S (see picture).
The options for the blue are Triumph car Tahitian Blue or FORD Gentian Blue. The Ford colour is a recent colour used in Australia and I'm not sure if it is used in other countries.
Hope this helps
Peter

Thanks Peter
I will keep that in mind as I also have a Mk3 but thats in thousands of bits at present.
My main concirn is for the Polychromatic (metalic) blue for the Mk 4 & 5 as this is the machine which is more complete.
Thanks again    MRD

Hi,
Here in the U.K., Mk5 Polychromatic Blue has the I.C.I. ref  PO31/4863 and is made up as follows:
                    Clear Base  404     -------      488 parts
                    PO30/9995            -------      170 parts
                    PO30/9970            -------        20 parts
                    PO62/9970            -------      114 parts
                    PO63/9904            -------        82 parts
                    PO62/9900            -------        64 parts
                    PO62/9949            -------        38 parts

Even if this brand of paint is not available in your part of the world, your local supplier should be able to cross-reference it, and provide a good match.

                                            Regards,
                                                   Eddie.

Thanks Eddie
When we get over the winter period, it looks like I've got some spraying to do.
Thanks again......   MRD
