Unusual gearbox fitted, not Douglas. Is it a Sturmey Archer?

Hi Graeme
It is sure a heavyweight Sturmey Archer gearbox, apparently model LS 250 which was fitted some Ariel machines.
Here are a couple of illustrations,

hi thanks , graeme and oil baron by the contributions . Syn my mail is e-m-r@live.com.ar write me and you out new photos . It is definitely a box of three speeds, which got my father to put something in line with the time and an English motorcycle, and my father just bought the picture, the original engine and suspension. This engine was completely rectified but was not armed to walk , just was assembled for exposicion.En summary is new unused.
